Age Verification
Age verification for 18+ and NSFW communities on Telegram
Under United States law, it is illegal to knowingly allow a minor access to pornographic content. As such, we have this age verification policy and procedure in place to check every member's age and to conduct random ID checks. This process is not perfect and we encourage everyone to report anyone who they know are lying about their age or using a fake ID or someone else ID to access our groups. We take every allegation seriously, and, as such, if someone makes false underage reports, we will take action against them. | If you suspect a member is underage please report it and have evidence of this claim on hand for staff to review.
ID is NOT a default or preferred form of age verification.
Staff will ask for ID when it is necessary for the age verification process.
a. Who has to verify their age?
Every member who joins a NSFW/18+ Telegram groups within the network regardless if you have been in the group before or verified in another 18+ group in our network.
b. How do I verify my age?
You are required to contact a member of the staff team for the community you have joined.
To verify your age you will need to submit your age, dob, or both to the admin you have contacted.
In some circumstances you may be asked for ID, but this is not a default form of age verification. Please do no share ID with any member of staff unless asked.
If you have any other questions about age verification that this page didn't answer please ask a member of the staff team.
Do not input your age on this site or into our community/mod bot. You have to send it to an admin.
c. Why would I be asked for ID?
To prevent minors from knowing how to circumventing this age check/verification process we cannot disclose our policies about when we choose to check your ID. Sometimes it is at random and sometimes it is part of our policy. We cannot disclose which one was the reason you were asked for ID (policy or random).
d. Why do you have this process in place?
Telegram has no inbuilt ways for users to register an age on their account and they do not police underage users on their platform. As such, we have taken it upon ourselves to protect our community, staff team, and the users within the Telegram communities.
e. What if I do not have an ID or don't feel comfortable sharing my ID?
Unfortunately if you do not have an ID we will have to kick you from every 18+ group you until you have an ID.
Refusal or failure to to show a valid ID, giving us trouble about having to show your ID for verification, or not following the ID check policies as stated on the ID Check Policy page will result in a network-wide ban, you will be marked and deemed a suspected minor, and your next verification will be made much harder than the initial one even if you changed your mind about this process and request.
f. If I was in the group before this policy was enacted and enforced do I have to (re)verify or show my ID?
No, this only applies to joining members. However if you choose to join another 18+ group in our network you will have to (re)verify there. Failure to do so will result in a network-wide ban.
g. If I already verified with ID for another group in the network do I have to re-verify in a different group?
No, simply tell me mod/admin you contacted for verification that you already had your ID checked and tell them who did it or what group it was in so they can check with the other mod/staff team. (Each group in the network has their own mod/staff team and log channels).
h. What do you do with ID's after they are verified?
Staff are trained to delete any message that contain sensitive information, including photos of ID's, after verification. They might ask the chat member to delete it themselves (and make sure to check "delete for both participants") for extra peace of mind.
We do not store any ID's or face pics anywhere for any reason.
Since staff deal with this sensitive information they are bound by an NDA that states they are to protect the information shared with them and delete it once they are done with their verification.
Failure to do so will result in legal action from Lucid Creations Media and they assume legal liability and responsibility for not properly protecting such data and information.
All rules, Terms, policies, guidelines and community standards regarding the community and Lucid Creations Media is subject to change without notice.
It is a privilege, not a right, to be allowed into and to have access to this community and your access to this community may be terminated or suspended immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach community standards, the community's terms, or the terms of Lucid Creations Media. We evaluate each incident on a case by case basis. If a member is found to have breached any rules, terms, or standard of the community then appropriate action will be taken based on the severity. Potential actions staff may take for such breaches may include a verbal warning from a moderator, a warning from our bot, temporary or permanent restrictions from using certain features inside the groups (embedded links, sending media like; videos, music, and pictures, sending stickers & gifs, etc), and a temporary or permanent ban.
An automatic escalation of consequences will likely be considered and used if you receive 3 warns in a short time frame regardless of the severity of a single offense or accumulative offense(s). Note that warns are forgiven after continued good behavior. The timeline for the removal of any warn is based on the rule, severity of offense against the rule, and if any warns preceding it.
Staff will not discuss disciplinary actions in public under any circumstances and will not discuss it in private with any person(s) who aren't directly involved. Disciplinary actions can be appealed using our appeal form or by contacting any staff member. If any discussions regarding a disciplinary action were to be continued after staff requested the discussions to cease then disciplinary action will be taken against violators of the request; this does include asking for details or trying to appeal disciplinary actions on someone else's behalf. Staff are only permitted to publicly disclose the following information about disciplinary actions: the rule, policy, guideline, or community standard the person broke, if the person received any prior disciplinary actions, if the person was in any probationary period prior to actions taken, if the person was banned or kicked before, and how long a ban set for. Any other information will not be disclosed.
